Practical guide
Shop online with clear information
Sizes, materials and fits are not described in the same way by every seller. Use these steps to compare the information available; they do not replace the details for each individual item.
Choosing clothing sizes online
A size S or M does not represent the same measurements in every style. Cut, ease and fabric can change how a garment fits. Start with measurements for the specific item rather than the size you wear in another garment.
Take measurements consistently
With a soft tape, measure the fullest part of your bust, the natural waist and the widest part of your hips. Keep the tape level and close without compressing your body. Record the figures in centimetres and repeat any measurement if the tape slips or tilts.
Body measurements and a garment measured flat are not directly comparable. Lay a similar garment that fits you well on a flat surface without stretching it, then measure the same points shown in the product guide. A flat width may need to be doubled to compare it with a full circumference; check what each published figure represents.
For a top, compare bust width, shoulders and length where available. For trousers or a skirt, look for waist, hips and length measurements. If a figure is in inches, 1 inch equals 2.54 cm. Without a size chart or fit details, an exact size equivalent cannot be guaranteed.
Reading a product page before adding to your basket
Photos help you see an item's shape and appearance, but they do not prove its composition, measurements or durability. Colours can also look different depending on lighting and screen settings. Use written product details for these facts; if information is missing, ask rather than infer it from an image.
- Check the product name and category.
- Choose from the colours and sizes actually listed.
- Review the selected option and quantity in your basket.
- Confirm the destination, delivery fee and total before payment.
Understanding the total and availability
The product page price is for the item. Delivery charges depend on destination and basket value; the summary shown before payment is the amount to rely on. Check that the country and postal code are correct. An option may become unavailable between browsing and checkout: if the basket does not match your choice, verify it before paying.
Delivery estimates can vary by destination. Check the estimate shown during checkout and keep your confirmation email. For a return, read the sale terms and contact customer service before shipping the item; instructions and fees may depend on the order and destination.
Caring for jewellery without guessing its material
Terms such as “stainless steel”, “plated”, “gold-coloured” and “silver-coloured” do not describe the same thing. Colour describes appearance; it does not identify the metal. Check the material stated on the product page. If it is not listed, do not assume the piece is hypoallergenic, waterproof or suitable for continuous wear. Ask before buying if you have a known allergy.
If no item-specific instructions are provided, a simple precaution is to remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or using household cleaners. Let perfume and cosmetics dry before putting it back on. After wearing it, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and store it away from moisture and separate from other pieces to reduce rubbing.
Avoid damaging the finish
Avoid abrasives, stiff brushes and cleaners not recommended for the material, particularly on plating or delicate finishes. These are general precautions, not a guarantee of lifespan or water resistance. Follow the maker's instructions whenever they are available.
Before confirming your order
- Are the material and useful measurements stated?
- Are your chosen colour and size selected?
- Does the basket summary show the exact option you want?
- Do the total and delivery estimate match your destination?
- Have you checked the return terms before payment?
